Last year was the first time I attended Ronin Expo, but heard a mix bag of opinions on the event, So being the typical HERM that I am, I wanted a feel of the convention of myself to give my own personal opinion about the con as well as it gives me content to record and vlog. My first impressions of Ronin Expo 2018 was pretty chill and fun. Nothing too wild, not a lot to do, but being around like-minded anime lovers was the best part. Also the person that was running the con Danny was a great guy! Super chill guy who is extremely motivated into making it a better convention each year.

In comes Ronin Expo 2019, I was looking extremely forward to what is going to become of it, It seemed like the attendance has grew substantially, more fun individuals were attending and partaking into the event. On top of that, I was cohosting a contest with the voice actor of Bulbasaur, Tara Jayne Sands, for the bulbasaur contest. (Also want to add that Tara is amazing and she is so much fun! It was a pleasure meeting someone who is heavily involved in my childhood and my favorite pokemon). Though I will admit I did have a run-in with the host who didn’t give me a real good impression. Acted a bit condescending towards me because he didn’t know who I was and why I was there. Granted I dont expect anyone to know who I am (because at the end of the day I am just a regular person), but I didn’t appreciate being talked at the way i was being talked at. Regardless of that negative encounter I was pretty cool about the rest of the event! The vendors were great, I ran into a ton of friends, had fun at the beer garden section, and also got some great wobbles with the cosplayers! Overall an extremely fun con despite how small it was!

Also at the end of the day I got to attend OTACRUSH for a bit which is a small party where a few DJ’s play a mix of music coming from Anime, JROCK, JPOP, and etc. It was super fun just dancing and gathering footage from the event. I tried making the party look as G as possible despite it being a party for the Japanese Music Lover.
