This is the first time Anime Expo decided to have a secondary con and smaller at that. How does it compare to the actual Anime Expo in LA during July? Well.. I felt like it could have been executed a lot better and they definitely could have given us more community involvement versus just sales and picture places. One of the big things of AX is Panels and things to do throughout the con. This felt more like a shopping con versus a Convention for Anime Fans. Though I made the most of it! Of course I reached out to AX about press for Chibi and they said they were going to have it available, but they never delivered on that. The Anime Expo team has been extremely finicky with their press and I dont even know what contributes as a media team anymore for them. Hopefully this year of 2023 it will get cleared and become a lot more transparent for us Press/Media attendees.
